Beyond the Liver: Prioritising Alcohol Use Disorder in Patient Care Webinar

Date:
30 April 2025 - 30 April 2025
Time:
6:00pm AEST - 7:15pm AEST

The traditional medical paradigm tends to focus on diagnosing and treating liver disease once significant damage has already occurred. This approach, while necessary for managing advanced disease, often overlooks the upstream issue - alcohol use disorder (AUD) itself. Dr Andrew Palmer will discuss the importance of shifting the focus toward AUD as the primary medical concern - rather than treating liver disease consequently. This will lead to earlier interventions, better patient outcomes, and reduced long-term healthcare burdens.
